#119 Steve Aldridge – ReWilding Humans
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Reconnect with living in line the laws of nature with Steve Aldridge, Founder of Wild Movement Perth.
Steve tells how, as a Personal Trainer, it was through his simple challenge of conventional held wisdom in this field that lead him to awaken from his ‘auto-pilot’ state and continue to ask wider focused questions that lead him to discover rewilding for himself and create Wild Movement Perth.
Packed full of insightful nuggets of how Steve lives and thinks, this conversation holds a mirror up to the fundamental disconnect that lies in the heart of our modern-day industrial and information driven existence and the impact it has on our health.
However, the conversation certainly doesn’t leave the listener stuck in this disconnect. It captures Steve’s wealth of knowledge, passion and drive leaving the listener with a clear route forward to close the gap and live a healthier lifestyle connect to nature and our surrounding environment.

#118 Leanne den Hartog – End Of life Counsellor
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Monday Nov 04, 2019
Go to a place many wouldn’t with end of life counsellor Leanne den Hartog.
Leanne started life as a very logic based lady, originally trained as a librarian and a distinguished career with the Australian Bureau of Statistics. However, it was through a chance encounter with someone who helped her to connect with her ability as a Psychopomp and dealing with the passing of her own father that she began the journey as an end of life counsellor.
As an end of life counsellor, Leanne holds space for those in their end of days to fully engage with what is happening – often an isolating process as surrounding loved ones often struggle to fully be present due to their own issues with the confronting nature of someone else’s passing.
The conversation highlights the need to cease sweeping death under the carpet and for better ‘death education’ – to ask questions and reach on our own truth so that we are more equipped to face the inevitability of death and through that experience a life of more meaning.
One thing is for sure, none knows the answer to all of this until the time comes, however this conversation is a fantastic opportunity to engage with a lady who has gone further than most on this journey.

#117 Ray Forlin – Our god is awesome
Monday Oct 28, 2019
Monday Oct 28, 2019
Step into living a life of faith with East Fremantle Baptist Church Paster, Ray Forlin.
It is in the retelling of his journey transitioning in his late 30s from a successful career in IT to become a pastor that Ray provides a truly fascinating living example of living with faith and having the bravery to listen and act on god’s word.
Ray puts forward that god is good, despite popular misgivings, and his love is always waiting patiently on the other side of ‘the door’ - all we have to do is open the door and let him in
We talk about need for a ‘third space’, after home and work, and the connection to community and something bigger than yourself and the benefits that brings to life. Ray also provides insights into the life of being a pastor and to walk along side his congregation.
This is a very approachable conversation that provides a very real insight into opening up and allowing faith into your life.

#116 Jake Ward – Unstoppable
Monday Oct 21, 2019
Monday Oct 21, 2019
Experience the raw and authentic energy of Co-owner of Core9 Fitness and Founder of Mindset Warrior Coaching, Jake Ward.
From an intense drive to look after and protect the loved ones around him, Jake got into martial arts from an early age. His staunch character and his refusal to take a backward step not only brought success fighting within the ring but soon outside of it and before long he was firmly part of gang life. However, it was being heavily in debt and dumped by his girlfriend that was the catalyst for Jake to level up and rebuild a better version of himself.
Taking this staunch unstoppable strength of character into other areas of his life to turn his life around and grow exponentially, Jake now acts a beacon to others of what can be done and has built businesses to serve others to operate at their highest.
We talk about individual power, importance of values, the impact of beliefs, developing successful behaviours, weeding out low-quality distraction out of your life and so much more. This conversation really is an amazing insight into the mind and being of someone who is so intensely focused on rising above his past to build his own future.
Jake is non-stop and he’s an endless supply of raw benevolent power. It was a true privilege to be in his presence and absorb his story.

#115 Nick Eggleton – Optimal Expression of your Genes
Monday Oct 14, 2019
Monday Oct 14, 2019
If you are serious about taking responsibility of your health then you’ll really enjoy this, as I talk with health coach and Founder of Genelife Nick Eggleton.
Nick has a very experienced background in advertising and marketing, but it was when he started to take his own health more seriously did he begin to truly understand the role that his industry has played in selling and shaping less than healthy beliefs and behaviours – something that left him very angry.
It was this that was the catalyst behind him beginning his health coaching business Genelife, mission is to help you optimise gene expression through nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
We cover epigenetics, how to switch on and off genes, stressors, diet, sleep and a whole lot more. Nick is a seriously well researched and read individual that’s bursting at the seems with knowledge and the further the conversation goes on the more his energy levels go up along with the fascinating gold nuggets – you can tell just how much this all means to him
While this is a very informative conversation, it’s also confronting – the conversation forces you to consider seriously your health and habits, not just for today but for the future.

#114 Rebecca Dawson – You are the only thing that exists
Sunday Oct 06, 2019
Sunday Oct 06, 2019
In this conversation we explore accessing the wisdom that lies within and having the bravery to share this with the world with internationally renowned channel Rebecca Dawson.
Rebecca shares how she spontaneously became a channel, the impact it had on her life and how she stepped out to fully embrace her ability and make her living through it.
What becomes amazingly apparent, particularly as Rebecca explains what channelling actually is, is the fact that this is someone that we all can do – we all have the ability to access a vast wealth of information that exceeds our imagination; all we have to do is look inside not outside.
I found it an amazing privilege and treat that Rebecca took time to join me in the podcasting space to create such truly fascinating conversation packed with so much information. She is a hugely engaging, possibility provoking while playful lady.
More and more people around us, particularly here in WA, are waking up to greater capabilities and paradigms and this conversation talks a lot about that and begins to explore why.
One final point before you dive into this conversation – listen out for when Rebecca uses ‘I’ and ‘we’ because at times it’s not just Rebecca that’s talking………….

Mark provides a fascinating summary and commentary of the changing landscape of entertainment from the 70s to present day, which provokes a lot of food for thought about the media we consume.

#112 Darryl Naidu – Creating a New Normal
Monday Sep 23, 2019
Monday Sep 23, 2019
In this conversation we follow some very deep thinking and consider some of the bigger issues and impacts of our behaviours with Darryl Naidu.
Darryl, a chartered engineer and a fantastic systems thinker, shares how he put his thinking to the test by creating New Normal Bar + Kitchen in Subiaco, which was built on the principles of providing seasonal local WA based food and beverages while reducing food related waste in the process.
This is a fascinating insight into the thinking of someone who has spent some quality time considering behaviour economics and impacts at a really quite deep level – both on a micro and macro level her in WA.
I believe taking the time to listen and truly engage with Darryl is well worth the time investment. He puts forward that his lack of emotionality helps his thinking, but I believe there’s actually a lot of emotion in there which, like his thinking, runs deep.

#111 Karl O’Hare – Is there more to life than this?
Monday Sep 16, 2019
Monday Sep 16, 2019
Imagine being successful to the point that by the age of 38 years old you’d built a company, sold it and now no longer needed to work another day in your life and retire – what would you do next?
That’s exactly what my guest Karl O’Hare achieved for himself.
Karl shares how he managed to retire at the age of 38 and what drove him during that time.
Karl then goes on to talk about what life was like after he retired and how a few years later he found himself in a low place asking himself ‘Is there more to life than this?’, which was a gateway to a journey of self-discovery, deeper connection to those around him and sharing his light with the rest of the world.
Again, there are clear examples of how events and stories that form the fuel that drive us to our success can also be the hurdle we need to overcome in living a full and meaningful life.
Karl is a wonderfully open and lovingly energetic man who provides a wonderful insight into the reality of what many daydream about.
